It is sixty
years this week since the Army and I parted company, which of us was the happier
is an interesting question.
The recent
reports to the effect that an EU Army is being proposed call to mind an old
song, slightly amended so as not to give offence.
We are Claude
Junckers Army,
No Euro use
are we,
The only time
you'll see us,
Is when we
charge a fee.
But when a war
is over,
We'll shout
with all our might,
Per Ardua Ad
Astra,
Up yours I'm
alright.
So, by the
Left..........
Sounds formidable - a politically correct army with solar-powered tanks.
