There has been
coverage in the media about a place called "The Presidents Club" in
London, where hyper blokes with a lot of money but little discipline go to
waste it and entertain themselves.
As the club
employs females with little money and the need to get some soon to pay the rent
it is easy to predict what might be the result.
The very name
of the club suggests a sort of democratic locale of our new age. Perhaps it is
time to go back to the past.
Should we have
a club named for a monarch who believed in his divine right and sought to rule
by absolute power?
One that used
the monies raised by tax on forms of the conspicuous consumption praised by art
historians and many of the present?
When
submitting your application to the King Charles II Club, please ensure that it
is secured by the right kind of garter.
Different times, different standards, but it isn't easy to understand how anyone could dress like that even for state occasions.
