Greece, A Very Brief Comment

What did Lord Byron say?

Quote:

Ancient of days! august Athena! where, Where are thy men of might? thy grand in soul? Gone--glimmering through the dream of things that were; First in the race that led to glory's goal, They won, and pass'd away--Is this the whole?

Unquote.

Try this song for effect.  and perhaps sing it for the Greeks.

  1. Very pertinent and anger making. If you haven't already, check out John Ward's latest at the Slog.

  2. All very sad, partly because of what is happening to Greece and partly because of the trend it represents.

That here, obedient to their laws, we lie
