Speak Less Than Thou Knowest






A new way to describe the ramblings of politicians is suggested in which the sound and form is one thing, but the content and meaning quite another. 

It is “Elephant Speak”. 

One reason for this is the frequency that the phrase “The elephant in the room…” occurs. 

I prefer a Gorilla, but there you go.  But the general idea is of people blathering on apparently entirely ignorant or unaware of the real issues.

There is reliable scientific research for this.  Science Daily tells us that in fact elephants can learn to speak human languages, in this case Korean:


At last, present day politics begins to makes sense, it is no longer the hippopotamus in the bath.
